Both the gemstone design and the design of a jewellery piece made of precious metal and precious stones were permitted.
This includes unmounted gemstones, gemstones set in jewellery (precious metals only),
gemstone objects, and gemstone sculptures. Synthetic gems were not permitted.
Pearls were only allowed in combination with gemstones.
